Arthur Hugh Price, 77, passed away peacefully at his residence on May 26, 2026. Born on August 28, 1948, in Ashland, Alabama, Hugh led a life marked by dedication, faith, and service.
Hugh proudly served in the United States Army for 20 years, retiring with honors that reflected his bravery and commitment. Throughout his military career, he was awarded the Purple Heart, Bronze Star Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and the Run Cross Gallantry, among numerous other commendations. His exemplary service and sacrifice will forever be remembered with deepest gratitude and respect.
Beyond his military achievements, Hugh was a man of great passion and warmth. He loved to fish, finding solace and joy in the quiet moments by the water. An avid gun collector, he appreciated the craftsmanship and history behind each piece in his collection. Additionally, Hugh was fond of watching old movies, enjoying the stories and nostalgia they evoked.
Hugh was also a devoted man of faith who loved to talk about and share Jesus with others. His spiritual devotion was a cornerstone of his life, inspiring those around him through his compassion and unwavering belief.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Hugh is survived by his sister, Shirley Brasher, a nephew, Walter Blackman and care givers, Chris and Chrisie Stanfield.
Visitation for Arthur will be held at 12:00 pm on June 1, 2026, at Brannen Family Funeral Services. A graveside service will take place at 1:00 pm at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
