In a past article published in the Metter Advertiser, Dr. Michael Guido praised his wife. "She is my inspiration," he said. "The one with whom I can always talk things over. She's much more practical than I."
Mrs. Guido handled personnel issues, purchasing, and bookkeeping for the ministry, as well as designed the gardens that have become famous for the "Nights of Lights," a month-long Christmas celebration where the gardens are decorated with hundreds of thousands of lights.
The daughter of Donie and CB Forehand, Audrey married Michael Guido in 1943. The two traveled for 20 years before settling in Metter to begin the ministry.
