Betty Jean Addis

Betty Jean Waters Addis, 94, passed away, Monday, April 1, 2024, at the Griffin House in Claxton, Georgia surrounded by her family. She was born July 23, 1929, in the Gooseneck Community to Charlie Elijah and Emma Waters, in the same home where she lived her entire life until she was unable to live by herself. Betty was known throughout the community as she had numerous jobs over her lifetime but the closest to her heart was taking care of her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Wayne W. Addis and her daughter, Wilma Addis. 

Betty is survived by:

Son, Charlie "Rocky" Addis (Pat); Grandchildren, Stephanie MacNeil (Michael), Vicki Allen (Jason), William Addis (Kimberly); Great-Grandchildren, Noah and Emma MacNeil, Kaylee and Kinsley Mobley all of Glennville. Several nieces and nephews also survive. 

Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Harmony Church. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 pm. Burial will be in Harmony Church Cemetery.
