Betty Bishop Barrow

Betty Bishop Barrow, 82, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2025, at the Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Center in Statesboro, Georgia. Born on December 15, 1942, in Cartersville, Georgia, to Youles Luther and Dora Lee Kimbrell Bishop, Betty lived a life filled with purpose, dedication, and creativity.

Professionally, Betty was a respected bookkeeper, having devoted many years of her career to serving G&R Farms and Tammy Waters, CPA. Her meticulous work and unwavering commitment to excellence left a lasting impact on those she worked with.

Outside of her professional life, Betty had a profound passion for the arts. She loved to paint and engaged in various arts and crafts projects, expressing her creativity through every brushstroke and handmade piece. Her love for nature was evident in her beautiful flower gardens, where she found joy and solace.

A dedicated member of Birdford Baptist Church, Betty contributed significantly to her church community, teaching Sunday School and serving diligently as both clerk and church treasurer for many years. 

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Roy Bishop, Lee Bishop, Patsy Lanelle Black and Jimmy Bishop.

She is survived by, her husband of 45 years, Denver Barrow of Glennville, Georgia, her step-daughter, Melissa Ann Presley (Tim) of Griffin, Georgia. Grandchildren, Aaron, Zachary and Isabella Presley and Alicia Earp. Special Nephews, Rusty Howell of Tennessee and Jody Howell of Adairsville, Georgia. Several other relatives also survive.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, Monday, February 3, 2025, at Brannen Family Funeral Services. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, February 3, 2025, at the chapel of Brannen Family Funeral Services with Rev. Jason Summers officiating. Burial will follow in Glennville Memorial Gardens. 

Pallbearers: Gene Banks, Tim Dubberly, Ricky Kicklighter, Jake Durrence, Ethan DeLoach, Ron Barrow
