Betty Mooney Smith, 83 passed away at her residence Thursday, October 11, 2018 at her residence under the care of Georgia Hospice and surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 13, 1935 to Jesse and Johnnie Frost Mooney and lived in this area most of her life. She was a homemaker loving caring, wife mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved to travel, care for her flowers, animal and birds. She is preceded in death by her parents, sons, Bill Smith and Barry Smith.
She is survived by, Husband of 64 years, W. Neil Smith of Townsend, GA
Children, Teri Barrow (Johnny) of Glennville, GA
Ben Smith of Reidsville, GA
Traci Brannen (Kenny) of Glennville, GA
Charlie Smith (Kristy) of Townsend, GA
Toni DeLoach (Kenny) of Winston Salem, NC
Seventeen Grandchildren, Fourteen Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 12:00 noon at the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Burial will be in Smith Family Cemetery.
