Billy W. Crapps, 81, gained his wings, Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah. Billy was born in Marlow, Georgia February 22, 1941 to Waldon Chalmus and Lois Helmey Crapps and lived in Glennville most of his life. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and retired from Civil Service at Ft. Stewart. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved to be outdoors. He was always quick with a joke or silly gesture. Showing off his cooking skills to all his hunting buddies at Ohoopee Hunting Club earned him his CB handle “Pierre.” He was a life time member of Philadelphia Lodge No. 73 in Glennville, GA. As well as, a member of the Alee Shrine Hillbillies of Savannah. Where he always walked the parade routes in search of children and adults that weren’t able to be front and center. He always made sure no one was left out of the fun. He was a loving caring husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and true friend to many.. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and is proceeded by his mother and father, his brother Leon Crapps and son-in-law Steve Griffee

He is survived by:

Children, Monica Griffee of Glennville, GA

Misti Kicklighter, (Wes) of Glennville, GA

Grandchildren Dalton Howard of Glennville, GA, Chalmus Kicklighter (Paige) of Hagan, GA, Raegan Kicklighter and Bentley Kicklighter of Glennville, GA, Great Grandchildren, Kennedy and Klein Kicklighter of Hagan, GA

Sisters Marsha DeMasters (Jeff) of Cincinnati, OH and Teresa Robertson (Fred) of Williamsburg, VA. Special caretaker Trudy Thompson and his furbabies Little Bit, Oppie, Dooley, Harley and Roma.

Pallbearers:  Scott Parker, Neal Parker, Joe Brackmuller, Ken Chipple, Ricky Anderson, Glenn Smith Honorary pallbearers: Ohoopee Hunting Club

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will follow at 12:00 noon at the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. Justin Gordon officiating. Burial will be in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery will Military Honors.
