Bobby Ray, Sr.

Bobby Carl Ray Sr, 66 passed away Thursday, December 25, 2014 at his residence surrounded by his family and under the care of Spanish Oaks Hospice. He was born in Reidsville, Georgia April 16, 1948 to Carl "Coot" and Allene Jones Ray and lived in Tattnall County all of his life. He was retired from the Department of Corrections at Georgia State Prison and a farmer. He was a member and deacon of Stoney Hill Free Will Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Mary Ann Ray, Step Son, Billy Pearson, Brother, Terrell Luther Ray, Sister, Joyce Ray Todd.
He is survived by,
Children, Darrell Ray of Roanoke,VA, Carl Ray, Barbie (David) Brazel, Russell (Wendy) Pearson and Dean (Rhonda) Pearson all of Reidsville, GA
Brother, Larry (Vanda Faye) Ray of Jesup, Ga
Sisters, Annette (Charlie) Moody, Doylene (Phillip) Morgan, Faye (Jimmy) Martin all of Jesup, Ga,, Judy( Jody) Blanton of Glennville, GA
Eight grandchildren, Five Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 1:30 pm, Saturday, at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 3:00 pm, at the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. Harris Nix and Rev. William Prince officiating. Burial will be in Stoney Hill Church Cemetery.
