Bonnie Elaine Blocker, of Glennville, passed away on September 15, 2026, at her residence under the care of Affinity Hospice, surrounded by her family at the age of 77. She was born on July 12, 1949, in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina and lived in Glennville all of her life.
Bonnie devoted much of her life to her family and home. A homemaker, she also kept children in her home for many years, offering care and comfort that touched the lives of many. She found joy in the simple and meaningful things of life. She loved to crochet, fish, and play the piano, and she provided music for her husband to sing. Time with her family was especially important to her, and she also loved to travel, particularly to the mountains. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church.
Her life was marked by warmth, care for others, and a love for home, family, and faith. She will be remembered for the kindness she shared, the music she brought into her home, and the steady presence she gave to those around her.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents, J.A. "Stevie" and Lynette Bacon, siblings, Joanie Calhoun, Phillip Reeves, George Wilson, Gerald Wilson, Glenda Jackson, sons, Stephen Blocker and Stacy Blocker.
She is survived by: husband, Loy Blocker, daughter, Stephanie Dasher (Jim) all of Glennville, Georgia, sister, Fran Mosley of Thomaston, Georgia, Grandchildren, Shelby Bowen, Summer Kirkland (Harrison), Dixon Blocker, James Dasher, Carson Blocker, great grandchildren, Scarlett Daniels and Autumn Kirkland.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, Thursday, September 17, 2026 at Brannen Family Funeral Services. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, September 17, 2026 at the chapel of Brannen Family Funeral Services. Burial will follow in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to: Affinity Hospice, 109 S Duval St, Claxton, Georgia 30417.
