Carol Purvis, 84, gained his heavenly wings Friday, January 15, 2021 at his home in Mendes GA surrounded by his family and under the care of Bethany Hospice. Carol was born August 28, 1936 to Remer and Fannie Kicklighter Purvis and lived here all of his life. He was a 1954 Graduate of Glennville High School and employed in the Construction industry for many years. He was a Farmer who loved to tend the land and watch things grow. Carol’s favorite past time was playing and watching sports, especially baseball. He met the love of his life while working at the Pal Theater, celebrating 58 years of marriage this year. Carol was a loving caring husband, father and grandfather and was a lifelong member of Mendes Baptist Church.

He is survived by;

Wife, Brenda Purvis of Glennville, GA

Children, Bernard Purvis (Leanne)

Beverly Purvis Cole (Larry)

Melissa Purvis Hales (Jay) all of Glennville, GA

Grandchildren, Chase Purvis (Victoria), Jess Purvis, Jena Hales
and Jack Hales

Great Grandchildren, Ella Anne and Madi Kate Purvis

Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A walk through visitation will be held Thursday, January 21, 2021 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at Mendes Baptist Church. Graveside Funeral Services will follow at 2:00pm at Mendes Baptist Church Cemetery.

Social distancing of six feet due to Covid 19 will be enforced and masks are asked to be worn on all services.
