Carroll Dale Gilbert

Carolyn Dale "Carroll Dale” Gilbert (Smith), 76, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2024. Dale was born January 21, 1948, to Mullis Clifford and Evie Lee (Underwood) Smith. Dale was born in Vidalia GA and grew up in Glennville. She has lived in Savannah, GA, Northfield, OH, Macedonia, OH, Rincon, GA and Columbus, OH. Dale had various jobs throughout her life, however her main passion was being a homemaker and always giving her love to her children and husband Rick.
 
Dale was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Rick, brother Jackie Smith, sister Mary Elizabeth “Lib” (Smith) Ogburn, daughter Tanya (Gilbert) Endrek.
 
She is survived by; daughter Teresa (Hutson) Pitcher and her husband Doug of North Canton, OH; 2 sons, Richard Hutson, Rick Gilbert and wife Julie of Plain City, OH; 6 grandchildren, Morgan and Lauren Gilbert of Plain City, OH, Joshua Pobiega and wife Jessica of Columbus, OH, Brandon Endrek and wife Paris of Parma, OH, Jessica Fortunato and husband Nathan of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, Douglas Pitcher of Akron, OH; 5 great-grandchildren, Mara and Nolan Pobiega, Olivia and Kinsley Endrek, and Guinevere Fortunato; 2 brothers, Clifford Smith and wife Pam of Vidalia, David Smith of Glennville; 2 sisters, Betty Hanberry of Vidalia, Myrtle Griffin of Ellabell; several nieces and nephews.
 
A Graveside funeral service will be held at Glennville City Cemetery at 2:00 pm, Saturday April 13, 2024 with Reverend Tommy Ray officiating. 
 
 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
