Cecil Kline Tootle

January 17, 1947 — August 18, 2025

Glennville

Cecil Kline Tootle was born January 17, 1947 to Cecil and Syble Durrence Tootle and was a 1965 graduate of Reidsville High School. He went on to graduate from the University of Georgia in 1969.

With steady hands, a faithful heart, and an unwavering devotion to those he loved, Kline Tootle lived a life defined by integrity and kindness. A true family man, he poured his energy into creating a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unconditional love.

Kline coached softball at Pinewood Christian Academy for 12 years. After being such an inspiration, the softball field at PCA was dedicated in his honor in 1995.

A lifelong farmer and co-owner of Tootle Spreader Service, he poured his heart into the land and into serving others with honesty, reliability, and a determined work ethic.

To his friends, he was loyal and genuine - a steadfast presence in both the best and hardest of times. To his family, he was a rock, an example, and greatest cheerleader. His generosity was felt not only in what he gave, but in the way he gave - wholeheartedly and without expectation.

Driven in all he pursued, Kline Tootle led by example, showing that commitment, perseverance, and faith could carry one through any challenge. He was a lifelong member of Oak Grove Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon for 49 years.

His devotion to his loved ones, his work, and his community will leave an enduring mark on all who knew him.

While our hearts are heavy with loss, we take comfort in knowing that his legacy lives on in the values he instilled and the love he so freely gave.

He is survived by his children, Chari Tootle Karinshak (David) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Tiff Tootle (Tara) of Edisto Island, SC, Shawn Tootle (Shanna) of Reidsville, GA, sister, Donna Tootle Boyett (Anthony) of Reidsville, GA, grandchildren, Christopher Karinshak, Kayla Tootle, Lauren Karinshak, Ben Karinshak, Austin Tootle, great grandchild, Ada Faye Davis and he is preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Faye Hallman Tootle, his brother Cary Tootle, and parents Cecil and Syble Tootle.
