Charles Love

Charles Ernie Love, 74, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his family and under the care of Kindred Hospice. Ernie was born April 20, 1945 in Glennville, Georgia to Joseph Leroy and Lelia Kicklighter Love. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the U.S. Navy with his last duty assignment aboard the USS O’CALLAHAN. After his time in the Navy he lived in California for many years where he retired, after 40 years of service from Good Samaritan Hospital as a supply supervisor. After retirement he moved back to his home in Glennville in 2006. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on his land, building projects, planting trees and morning walks. He was a loving caring father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle.

He is survived by, Children, Sheila Thrash (Daniel) of Lakewood, California

Seven Grandchildren, Three Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will begin at 12:30 Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 pm, Tuesday at the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. Bryan Anderson and Rev. Justin Ray officiating.  Burial will be in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery with military honors.
