Claude Jarman Lester, 60, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 in Long County. He was born on December 7, 1955 in Baltimore, Maryland to Harmon Preston Lester and Maxine Helmick Lester. He worked for Civil Service at Ft. Stewart for many years. Claude took great pride in his yard and enjoyed gardening and landscaping. For many years he participated and excelled in the field of martial arts. He had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. If you talked to him for very long you would know how proud he was of his "girls" (two daughters and three granddaughters, no boys).
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include:
Daughters: Kristen Lester Norton (Royce) of Rincon, GA
Ariel Lester Nash (Phillip) of North Augusta, SC
Granddaughters: Ella Norton, Emily Norton and Sunday Nash
Siblings: Frank Lester (Belinda), Judy Blocker (late Bill Sr.), Bertha Bragg, Jack Lester (Martha), and Jimmy Lester

Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Friday, June 17, 2016 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Pigott Branch Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Roger Nelson officiating.
