Corbett David Cobb, 64, died Saturday at his residence. He worked as a mechanic for Jimmy Franklin Chevrolet and retired after 35 years of service. He was of Church of God faith and enjoyed his retirement spending time with family, fishing and restoring old cars and tractors.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Corbett and Bonnett Cobb and siblings Don Cobb, Tommy Cobb and Patricia Sparks.

Surviving, wife Brenda Donaldson Cobb of Metter. Daughter, Tina (James) Lynn of Blackshear, Step-son, Tony (Lisa) Young of Metter, Brothers, Gary (Marie) Cobb and Dean (Cindy) Cobb of Metter, Grandchildren, Jessica and Gatlan Lynn, Haleigh, Courtney and Whitney Young.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, 11 am at the Metter Church of God with Brother James G. Lynn officiating. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will be private.
