Darvin Johnson

December 24, 1945 — September 23, 2018

Darvin "Dob" Johnson, 72, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his family and under the care of Savannah Hospice. He was born December 24, 1945 in Long County to Harry and Dolly Kate Purcell Johnson and lived here all of his life. He was retired from the Long County Road Department and an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Dale Johnson, sons, Harry and Shane Johnson, a brother, Thurmon Johnson and sisters, Francis Anderson and Lavern Parker.

He is survived by:
Son, Casey Johnson of Glennville
Grandsons, Austin Shane Johnson
Casey Shane Johnson both of Glennville
Sister, Shirley Porter Driggers of Glennville
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm, Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at the chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Long and Rev. James Holland officiating. Burial will follow in Pigott Branch Church Cemetery.
