David Lynn Jenkins

David Lynn Jenkins, left this world on June 11, 2025, and entered his heavenly home, at the Community Hospice Inpatient Center in Vidalia, Georgia. Born on August 19, 1959, in Savannah, Georgia, David lived a life marked by kindness and generosity that resonated with all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

A skilled roofer by trade, David was more than just a craftsman; he was a jack of all trades. A gentle giant, he possessed an uncanny ability to take anything apart and put it back together, always ready to lend a hand when someone was in need. His warm smile and charming presence made him a beacon of light to many, and those who knew him undoubtedly remember his selfless nature. If he had a dollar, he would ensure that you had two. His compassion extended beyond family and friends, often stepping up to help anyone in need, a testament to his nurturing spirit.

David was not just dedicated to his craft; he was also an avid fisherman and hunter, finding joy in the simple pleasures of life such as crabbing. He was a proud member of Claxton Primitive Baptist Church, where his faith and love for the Lord flourished and never wavered. His devotion to both his faith and his family were among his proudest accomplishments.

He was especially proud of his grandchildren, who were the absolute apple of his eye. They brought him immense joy and pride, and he reveled in every moment spent with them. David's wife, the love of his life, was a constant source of inspiration for him—someone he prayed for and cherished deeply throughout their journey together.

David is preceded in death by his parents, George Samuel Jenkins, Sr and Maggie Hall Jenkins, siblings, Johnny Jenkins, Douglas Jenkins, Jimmy Jenkins, Randall Jenkins, Bobby Jean Jenkins, son, Tony Cason, brothers-in-law, Carl Hohnerlein, Jimmy Parsons, sister-in-law, Linda Jenkins, mother-in-love, Mary Graves Thompson, a nephew, Ronnie Lanier and a niece, Heather Hohnerlein Hoitt.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Brannen Family Funeral Services. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, June 14, 2025 at the chapel of Brannen Family Funeral Services. Burial will be private at a later date.

In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

As we say goodbye to David Jenkins, we remember a kind soul whose presence will be sorely missed. His legacy of compassion, love, and generosity will live on in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known him.
