David Lee Stanfield, known to many as "Top Gun" and "John Lee",54, passed away peacefully at his residence surrounded by his family and under the care of GHC Hospice on January 30, 2024. He was born on December 2, 1969, in Savannah, Georgia to Jerry Lee and Lou Beth Cammack Stanfield and lived here all of his life.
David dedicated many years of his life to working as a log truck driver for his self and his family logging business.
Outside of work, David enjoyed various hobbies and interests. He had a passion for hunting, finding solace in the great outdoors and appreciating nature's beauty. Mudbogging was another activity that brought him joy and excitement. David always had an adventurous spirit. David also had a fascination with high-performance motors and loved working on them.
Despite the demands of work and personal interests, David always made time for family and friends. He cherished their company, sharing laughter and creating lasting memories together. His warm personality left an indelible mark on those who knew him best.

Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Visitation will begin at 12:30 pm, Friday, February 2, 2024 at Brannen Family Funeral Services. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, February 2, 2024 at the chapel of Brannen Family Funeral Services. Burial will follow in Stanfield Family Cemetery.
