Deborah "Debbie" Williams Hudak, 76, of Savannah, Georgia passed away peacefully at her residence under the care of Hearth Hospice on October 5, 2025. Born on December 16, 1948, in San Diego, California, to Irin and Lucy Lynette Williams, Debbie was a resident of Cobbtown until moving to Savannah in the 1980s.
Debbie married Joseph D. Hudak on November 21, 1980. They were married for 40 remarkable years, and in their free time, they delighted in travel and shared many joyful moments riding their Harley.
Debbie had a distinguished career in licensed practical nursing, beginning her journey on April 30, 1979. Throughout her career, she served in several respected institutions, including Meadows Memorial Hospital in Vidalia, St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah, and with Dr. Charles Drake's private practice for over 25 years. Her dedication to her patients and her profession shone brightly until her retirement, which she embraced in order to spend more cherished time with her husband.
Her military service as a medic in the Army, where she earned her rank of specialist five and was honorably discharged in 1977, exemplified her commitment to helping others, a hallmark that defined both her professional and personal life.
She is preceded in death by her parents, loving husband, sister Brenda Kay Tirrell, nephew, Kyle Williams and brother-in-law, Eddie Tirrell.
Debbie is survived by her brother, Steven "Gary" Williams, nieces, Lisa Waters, Deena Hudson (Jim), Monica Williams (Scott) and several great nieces and nephews.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
