Delores Ella Harn, 79, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2026, at Glenvue Nursing Home. Born on August 2, 1946, in rural Register, Georgia, Delores was a vibrant woman whose warmth and outgoing personality touched the lives of many.
Delores dedicated a significant part of her life to working as a cashier at Kroger, where she not only demonstrated a strong work ethic but also enjoyed connecting with customers with her genuine friendliness and approachable nature. Her cheerful disposition and quick sense of humor made every interaction special, leaving lasting impressions on those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Beyond her career, Delores was well known for her love of cooking and the joy she found in caring for her family. The kitchen was her sanctuary, a place where she expressed her affection through hearty meals and shared memories. Delores’ love for cooking was matched only by her passion for spending quality time with her loved ones, whether it was fishing alongside her husband or simply enjoying the company of those closest to her. Her love extended to her cats and any cat for that matter, reflecting her compassionate and nurturing spirit.
Delores’ personality was marked by a rare combination of vivacity and kindness that brought happiness wherever she went. She was a steadfast pillar in her family’s life, always ready to offer support and laughter. Her ability to find joy in everyday moments enriched the hearts of all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her father, William Bowen, mother, Annie Grace McGillard Chester, stepfather, Grady Chester, four brothers, four sisters, husband, James Leon Harn and daughters, Sandra June Shaw, Judy Lynn Shaw and Patricia Ann Shaw.

Thirty plus grandchildren, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Delores memory will live on through her family and all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
