Dennis Howard

Dennis E. Howard, 67, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2023 at St. Joseph’s/Candler Hospital in Savannah, Georgia. He was born March 23, 1955 to Hampton “H.C.” and Bertha Mae Brannen Howard and lived in this area all of his life. Dennis was a 1973 graduate of Long County High School and furthered his education with a degree from Swainsboro Technical College. He was employed with the State of Georgia for over 30 years, holding numerous positions from telecommunications to carpentry. Dennis could do a little bit of everything, he was a jack of all trades and loved to fish, woodwork and grill. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially his children and grandchildren. Anyone who knew Dennis knew that he was a person they could always count on, he put helping others before his own needs and took pride in doing so, even if they didn’t ask him to. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church and is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Mary Groover and brother, Jerry Howard.

Jennifer Dawson all of Ludowici, Georgia

Brother, Stephen “Baxter” Howard of Ludowici, Georgia

Thirteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm, Sunday, February 5, 2023 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, February 5, 2023 at the chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pigott Branch Church Cemetery.
