Diane Futch

Diane Baxter Futch, 68, passed away Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah. She was born August 9, 1953 to Bruce and Betty Brannen Baxter and lived in this area most of her life. She was a 1971 Graduate of Glennville High School and a 1993 Graduate of Ogeechee Technical College with a degree in Information and Technology.  She was employed with ConTel Telephone Company and Civil Service at Fort Stewart for many years. She retired from the Department of Corrections in 2017 as an Account Specialist Food Service Manager at Smith State Prison. She served on the Board of Directors at Glennville Christian Academy for many years and a member of Ebenezer Free Will Baptist Church. She was a loving caring mother, sister and a friend to all she met and is preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by: Daughter, Hope Futch of Glennville, Georgia

Angelbaby, Harley Driggers of Glennville, Georgia

Brothers, Warren Baxter (Jane) of Glennville, Georgia

Gene Baxter of Glennville, Georgia

Niece, Leslie Baxter, and other relatives also survive.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 pm, at the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Thompson and Dr. Rick Cason officiating. Burial will be in Ebenezer Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Richie Waters, Jay Mixon, Lance Strickland, Michael Lynn, Stacy Howard, Byron Brannen, Ray Brannen, Kerry Chapman.
