Doris Foster

Doris Strickland Watson Foster, 88, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2019 surrounded by her family and under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. She was born October 24, 1930 to Marcus and Ida Mae Ray Strickland and lived in this area all of her life. Doris helped her husband, Herman Watson, farm and raise seven children. She retired from the Glennville Christian Academy Day Care, where she spoiled, loved and introduced many to the Lord and also had an in home day care most of her life. Doris loved to garden, spend time with her children, grandchildren, fish and enjoyed spa days and girl's weeks and weekends with her daughters and granddaughters. She was a member of Little Rock Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years and is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Herman Watson and Julian Foster; daughter, Glenda Hinson and sons, Wendell and Danny Watson.

10 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren, and several other relatives also survive.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm, Friday, February 15, 2019 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev Shon Cunningham and Rev. Edward Brannen officiating. Burial will follow in the Little Rock Baptist Church Cemetery.
