Dorothy Sewell

Mrs. Dorothy Sapp Sewell, 91, of Metter, passed away Tuesday November 1, 2016 at Ogeechee Area Hospice. Mrs. Sewell lived most of her life in Tattnall and Candler counties where she was the oldest living member of Salem Baptist Church. She worked as a seamstress and inspector in the textile industry. She was a great cook and enjoyed collecting cook books, working in her yards and with flowers. Mrs. Sewell is survived by her children Arthur and Diane Lee of Palmetto, GA, Gail and Weaver Carringer of Brasstown, NC, Ben and Barbara Lee of Woodstock , GA, Gary Lee of Metter, Ricky and Jennifer Lee of Metter, and Rodney and Kim Lee of Metter, and Daughter-in-law Linda Sewell of Metter. She is also survived by grand children Greg Carringer, Chris Carringer, Seanda Plunkett, Brandi Swentor and Beka Lee. Seven great grand childen and several other relatives also survive.

Visitation for Mrs. Sewell will begin at 5:00 PM Wednesday evening, November 2, 2016 in the Kennedy-Brannen Funeral Home Metter Chapel.

Funeral services will be 2:00PM Thursday, November 3, 2016 in the Kennedy-Brannen Funeral Home Metter Chapel with Rev. Michael Holt officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Creek Church Cemetery.
