Dorus Durose

January 31, 1938 — October 4, 2010

D. J. (Jack) DuRose, 71, died Monday, October 4, 2010 at his residence under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. The New York native retired from the U.S. Army after 30 years, and also retired from Civil Service in 1993. He had lived in this area most of his life and was a member and deacon of Stoney Hill Free Will Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 5 brothers.

Daughters:Tammy D. (Tommy) Rogers of Glennville
Debbie D. (Dean) Bland of Glennville
Sisters:Sylvia, Sam & Lois, all of New York
Brother:Jimmy DuRose of Florida
Sisters-in-Law:Myrtle Lee Futch & Jean Gumm, both of Glennville
Grandchildren:Travis & Kristen Rogers, Denine & Greg Durrence,
Dena & Matt Smith, Tiffany Rogers & James Alexander
Step-Grandson:Chase McCloud
Great-Grandsons:Gage Durrence & Baby Smith
Special Friend:Kelly Potter
Several nieces and nephews also survive.
