Edith Rebecca Ray, 74, died Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at Community Hospice Center in Vidalia. She was born on June 4, 1942 to James Frances and Drue Parham Sanders. The Jeffersonville, Georgia native had lived here for several years. She was a good cook and loved gardening and children.

Survivors include:

Husband: Howard Ray of Glennville, GA
Children: Janet Maddox of St. Petersburg, FL
Scotty Bryant of Largo, FL
Step-children: Vicky Widden, Hal Ray and Rodney Ray, all of Glennville, GA
Siblings: James Sanders of Cochran, GA
Luke Sanders of Macon, GA
Billy Ray Sanders of Macon, GA
Sylvia Westberry of Cochran, GA
Gene F. Sanders of Crystal River, FL

Six Grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm, Friday, March 17, 2017 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, March 18, 2017 at the chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. Ernest Dyal officiating. Burial will be in Watermelon Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
