Elisha Ray

Jerry Ray, 74, passed away Monday, June 17, 2019 at Glenvue Health and Rehab after an extended illness. He was born October 19, 1944 to Elisha and Mollie Driggers Ray and lived in Glennville all of his life. He was a 1963 graduate of Glennville High School and employed with the Georgia Department of Transportation and Corp of Engineers for many years. He was a self employed poultry farmer and loved to fish, hunt and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. Jerry was a loving caring husband, father and grandfather and was a member of Northside Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister and brother in-law, Vernice Ray Watson and Everette Watson.

Scott Ray (Aimee) of Glennville, GA
Timmy Ray (Amy) of Claxton, GA
Sisters, Verna Lamb (Mike) of Glennville, GA
Linda Knight (Billy) of Glennville, GA
Wynell Foley of Glennville, GA
Six Grandchildren, Jincy Annette Ray, Brice Elisha Ray, Allie Ray, Jonathon Ray (Chelsea) and Anthony Ray several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will begin 6:00 pm, Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. James Bland and Rev. Jason Summers officiating. Burial will be in Ebenezer Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Keith Beasley, Patrick DeLoach, Andy Durrence, Alan Dasher, Mitchell Smith, Joe Banks.
