Elton "Junior" Reddish, 81, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2024, at Glenvue Nursing Home under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice.
He was born on June 23, 1943, in Tattnall, Georgia and lived here all of his life. Junior was dedicated 23 years of his professional life working with the City of Glennville before retiring. He enjoyed completing word puzzles, which spoke to his sharp mind and attention to detail. In addition to this he enjoyed watching NASCAR and other television programs.
Junior was a member of Stoney Hill Free Will Baptist Church and is preceded in death by his mother, Bessie Reddish, siblings, Jim Reddish, Charles Reddish and Janie Mae Longino.
He is survived by:
Daughter, Janie Griffin (Jasper) of Callahan, Florida
Sister, Minnie Rowell of Hilliard, Florida
Companion & Caretaker, Wilma Baker of Glennville, Georgia
Grandchildren, Tiffany Laurendine and Michael Griffin
Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Brannen Family Funeral Services. Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Watermelon Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
