Elvin Todd, Sr

Elvin Gerald Todd, Sr. 82, passed away Monday, March 20, 2023 at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia. Gerald, as he was known by family and friends, was born, February 19, 1941 to Willie and Evan Shuman Todd in Claxton, Georgia. After graduating from Claxton High School, he met Willine Blocker from Long County. They were married on January 7, 1961, and celebrated their 62nd anniversary this year. The couple lived in Evans County for 15 years before moving to Tattnall County in 1976 where they currently reside. Gerald worked as a truck stop manager for many years. Later, he accepted a position as a plumber at Ft. Stewart and retired after 30 years of service.

Gerald was preceded in death by his daughter, Marie Michelle Todd.

He is survived by, his wife, Willine Blocker Todd, his children, Elvin Gerald Todd, Jr. (Sandra Carter Todd), Harvey Lee Todd (Teresa Branch Todd), Melissa Todd Scott (David Scott), and Jessica Todd. Gerald is also survived by, his siblings, Edward Todd (Laverne) of Claxton, Garnet McFarland of Pembroke, his in-laws, Dorothy Branch (Jerry), Mrs. Billy Blocker “Judy”, Bobby Blocker (Kathy), Jeff Blocker (Sharon) and Michael Blocker, four grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon, Friday, March 24, 2023, at Brannen Family Funeral Services. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, March 24, 2023, at the chapel of Brannen Family Funeral Services. Burial will follow in Todd Family Cemetery.
