Emmett Hogg

June 5, 1923 — April 15, 2010

Emmett L. Hogg, 86, died Thursday, April 15, 2010 at Evans Memorial Hospital. The West Point, Georgia native lived in Savannah and Baxley for many years before moving to Glennville. He was a World War II, Navy Veteran, retired from Duramatic Corporation and a member and deacon of Calvary Baptist Church.

Valinda H. Meeker (Guy) of Hinesville

Frankie Hogg of Guyton

Daryl Hogg (Phyllis) of Clarksville, Tennessee

Timothy Hogg (Ginnie) of Mesquite, Texas

Step-Children:Becky L. Gehrls (Mark) of Grand Forks, Minnesota

Jeffrey B. Vacura (Jaymie) of Roy, Washington

Dominick John Vacura of Omaha, Nebraska

13 Grandchildren, 13 Great-Grandchildren and several niec
es and nephews also survive.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm, Sunday, April 18, 2010 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home in Glennville.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 pm, Monday, April 19, 2010 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Knight officiating. The body will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery in Savannah.
