Evelyn Deloach

Evelyn Tyre DeLoach, 88, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Evans Memorial Hospital in Claxton, Georgia. She was born June 25, 1934 in Jesup, Georgia to John Henry and Thelma Fennel Tyre and lived in Glennville since 1976 after her husband retired from the military. Evelyn was a military wife and mother and was very proud of her husband and sons. She was a bus driver and a kitchen worker at the Tattnall County Service Center and a homemaker. Evelyn loved to play BINGO and participate in church activities at Glennville First Christian Church where she was a member. She loved to frequent yardsales, work in her yards, spend time with her friends and feed the birds. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband, SMSGT USAF Ret. Dayne DeLoach and a daughter, Dana DeLoach.

She is survived by:

Sons, Lt Col USAF Ret. Steven DeLoach (Denise) of San Antonio, TX
Tech Serg USAF Ret. Kevin DeLoach of Niceville, FL

Brother, Robert Tyre of Jesup, GA

Grandchildren, Stephanie DeLoach of Los Angeles, CA
Sean DeLoach of Austin, TX

Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Brannen Family Funeral Services. Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm, Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
