Floyd Thompson

Floyd J. Thompson, 80, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his family and under the care of Spanish Oaks Hospice. He was born on January 3, 1936 to Solen and Reba Howell Thompson. Living in Savannah for many years and moving to Glennville 27 years ago. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and employed in the construction industry. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to fish.
Survivors include:
Wife: Debra Thompson of Glennville, Georgia
Children: Joey Thompson and Cathy Thompson, both of Glennville, Georgia
Granddaughter: Sierra Hollis
Two great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, several cousins and other relatives also survive.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm at the chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Burial will be in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery with Military Honors.
