Fredrick Purvis

Fredrick "Fred" Purvis, 72 passed away Friday, November 29, 2013 at Georgia Regents Medical Center in Augusta. He was born in Glennville Georgia November 13, 1941 to LeRoy and Annie Mae Lucas Purvis. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and retired from United Parcel Service after 31 ½ years of service. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and is preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Christopher Purvis.
He is survived by, Wife, Kathryn Bland Purvis of Swainsboro, Georgia
Children, Kevin (Sarah) Purvis of Swainsboro, Georgia
Michael Purvis and Jessica Powell of Swainsboro, Georgia
Sister, Shirley (Andy) Whitson of Claxton, Georgia
Brothers, Jerrell (Isiline) Purvis of Glennville, Georgia
Roy (Myra) Purvis of Claxton, Georgia
Grandchildren, Adriana Purvis, Nicholas Purvis, Logan Creamer, Jeffery (Carmelita) Gregory,
James (Adrienne) Gregory, Steven (Amanda) Gregory
Several Great Grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 6:00 PM, Monday, December 2, 2013 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home in Glennville.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Mendes Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Knight officiating.
