Gary Ken Mobley, age 67, passed away Friday, July 11, 2025, at St. Joseph’s/Candler Hospital in Savannah, Georgia surrounded by his loving family. Born on February 16, 1958, in Statesboro, Georgia. Gary was the beloved son of the late Herbert and Mary Cowart Mobley.

Raised in Glennville, Georgia, Gary graduated from Glennville High School in 1976. Gary began his career in welding at Delta Metals in Savannah, Georgia and later retired after 36 years of Civil Service at Fort Stewart, Georgia. Gary was a member the First Christian Church. Gary’s life was one marked by deep devotion to family, friends, and a warm spirit that touched the lives of all that knew him. He had a passion for golf and found great joy in spending time outdoors. Some of his happiest moments were riding his golf cart and exploring nature with his two loving grandchildren, Brooks and Banks, who brought endless light into his life.

Gary was also preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Dan and Nell Waters and sister-in-law, Charlotte Waters.

Gary is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Donna Waters Mobley. His son Garett Mobley of Glennville, Georgia. Daughter and son-in-law Megan Mobley Blanchard and Colby. Grandchildren Brooks and Banks Blanchard of Statesboro, Georgia. Brother and sister-in-law Jimmy and Carolyn Mobley of Powder Springs, Georgia and children Melissa, Philip, and Maranda. Brother-in-law Mike Waters of Ganado, Texas. Special family friend Josh Cochran. Several Nieces and Nephews also survive along with his loving cat Lucky.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, Monday, July14, 2025 at Brannen Family Funeral Services. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm, Monday, July 14, 2025 at the chapel of Brannen Family Funeral Services. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the First Christian Church 9224 Georgia Hwy 23, Glennville, Georgia 30427
