Gladys Barker

Gladys Lucille Owens Barker, 81, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2020 at Wayne Memorial Hospital. She was born May 8, 1939 in Tattnall County, Georgia to Harry and Gladys Novadine Jones Owens and loved her hometown of Glennville. Gladys was employed with Georgia Pacific in Palatka  Florida for 35 years. She loved angels, butterflies, animals, to color and to watch Gunsmoke. Gladys was a strong willed, independent, loving and caring woman and is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bennie Barker and brothers, Redge, Larry and Randy Owens.

She is survived by:

Children, Clyde Clower, Jr of Alabama
Theresa Gill of Jesup, Georgia
Keith Andrew Clower (Pam) of Jesup, Georgia

Twelve grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 am, Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 12:00 noon at the chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Burial will be in Beards Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
