Glenn I. Barron, 68, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Optim Medical Center. He was born November 12, 1950 in Akron, Ohio to John and Katharine Clifford Barron and had lived in this area for the past Eleven Years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in Korea and Vietnam where he received numerous awards and commendations. He retired from Consolidated Freight as a Truck Driver and loved riding his Harley Davidson Motor Cycle. He was a jokester and loved being with his family and friends. He is a member of Watermelon Creek Baptist Church and preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by,
Wife, Linda M. Barron of Glennville, GA
Sister, Sharon Boyle of South Carolina
Faithfull Canine Companion, Samantha
Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Watermelon Creek Baptist Church. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 am, Saturday at Watermelon Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Miller officiating. Burial will be in Watermelon Church Cemetery.
