Glenn Andrew Waters, better known as Andy, a respected business entrepreneur and devoted community member, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2026, at Dublin Trails. Born on December 7, 1954, Andy lived a life marked by dedication to his family, community, and country.

A man of varied talents and interests, Andy pursued a career in business entrepreneurship, focusing on farming, timber, and storage business ventures. He demonstrated a strong commitment to growth and innovation in these fields, leaving a lasting impact on those industries. Andy also held a Master’s Degree in Public Administration.

Andy’s contributions extended beyond his professional endeavors. He proudly served his country in both the United States Air Force and Navy, embodying the values of courage and patriotism. Upon honorably discharging from the military, he continued to serve his community in many ways. He was deeply involved in the lives of his children, participating actively in their extracurricular activities and sports events. His leadership roles included serving as the PTO president at Glennville Elementary School and coaching at the local recreation department. Beyond his family and community activities, Andy was a committed member of Loves Chapel Primitive Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and church clerk for many years.

Known for his personality and genuine kindness, Andy was a man who loved to help people and gave back generously to the youth in his community. This devotion to others was a hallmark of his character and endeared him to many.

Family meant the world to Andy, and he considered his children his proudest accomplishment. He is lovingly remembered by his son, Joe Waters of Baxley, Georgia; his mother, Margaret Waters of Brunswick, Georgia; and his grandchildren—Aiden, Harper, Taylor, and Cameron Wilkinson of Surrency, Georgia. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Andy is preceded in death by his father, Eustis Waters; his sister, Cindee Waters; his son, Jim Waters; and his daughter, Joy Waters Wilkinson.

A graveside service will be held in his honor at 3:00 pm, on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville, Georgia.
