Gregory Shaun Kicklighter, affectionately known as Shaun, passed away on October 14, 2025, at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida after a short illness, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and laughter that touched all who knew him.
A resident of Black Hammock Island, Florida, Shaun was born on August 11, 1980, in Savannah, Georgia.
Shaun was a dedicated professional, having built a substantial career with Symrise and various chemical companies over the years. His work ethic and commitment to his profession were a testament to his character. In addition to his career, Shaun proudly served his country as a member of the United States Airforce, a commitment that reflected his deep sense of duty and honor.
As a person, Shaun was beloved for his warm personality and great sense of humor. He had a unique ability to bring joy to those around him, making even the simplest moments special. His loved ones fondly remember him as someone who was always ready to share a smile or a laugh.
Shaun cherished time spent in nature, particularly while fishing, often recounting fond memories of fishing with his Uncle Dennis. His passion extended to caring for his fish tanks, as well as nurturing plants and flowers, inherited from his mom, which brought him great joy. He also valued the time spent with his Pop Chip in the shop, highlighting the importance of family in his life.
Among his proudest accomplishments were his sons, who were the center of his world. Shaun took immense pride in being a father, always striving to provide them with love and support.
Shaun is preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank Thomas, Elaine Burke, Joyce and Ceburn Kicklighter.

A graveside service will be held in his honor at 2:00 pm, on Monday, October 20, 2025, at Stoney Hill Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Glennville, Georgia.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Black Hammock Island, Florida.
