Gregory Leroy Love

Gregory Leroy Love, 57, passed away on September 8, 2026, at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick, Georgia. He was born on March 23, 1969, in Savannah, Georgia, to Leroy Eugene and Emily Swindell Love and will be remembered as a caring, kind, and generous man whose warm spirit touched many lives.

Greg was a 1987 graduate of McIntosh Academy and entered in the Georgia National Guard serving active duty during Desert Storm. Later he earned his Master’s Degree in education from Georgia Southern University. He built a life marked by service, learning, and connection with others.

His working life reflected both adventure and dedication. Greg was a seasonal employee with the national parks across the United States, including Everglades and Yellowstone, experiences that matched his love of the outdoors and the beauty of the natural world. He was also a teacher with Gwinnett County Schools, sharing his knowledge and making a difference in the lives of students.

Greg embraced life with enthusiasm and heart. He loved plants and planting flowers, and he found joy in tending and farming pecan trees on the family farm. He was an avid reader and had a deep love for music, concerts, and coffee. He enjoyed riding bikes, camping, and traveling across the United States. Above all, he cherished spending time with his family. Greg was a true people person who liked to make others laugh, and his easy warmth and generous nature made people feel welcome and valued.

Greg will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for his laughter, his love of family, and the kindness he shared so freely with others. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 am Monday, September 14, 2026 at Brannen Family Funeral Services. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 noon at the chapel of Brannen Family Funeral Services. Burial will follow at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
