Harold Beach Sands, 87, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2024. Born on August 7, 1937, in Glennville, Georgia to Harold and Willa Mae Brannen Sands, Beach led a life marked by service and dedication.
A proud United States Navy Veteran, Beach served his country honorably. He was employed with the Georgia Department of Transportation and also distinguished himself as a local businessman by owning and operating several establishments, including the Hen House, Chick King in Hazelhurst and Baxley, and Kirkland's Country Store. Beach was well-respected for his entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to serving his community.
In addition to his professional achievements, Beach was deeply involved in agriculture as both a poultry and produce farmer. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Jerry Sands and Terry Sands and friend, Fae Crane.

Siblings, Lucy Nall of Glennville, Georgia
Ermadean Long of Glennville, Georgia
Gary "Tub" Sands (Kay) of Glennville, Georgia
Marilyn Browning of Gainsville, Florida
Sisters-in-law, Lois Sands of Glennville, Georgia
Kristy Sands of Glennville, Georgia
Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at Brannen Family Funeral Services. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at the chapel of Brannen Family Funeral Services. Burial will follow in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
