Inez Rigdon

Inez Brown Rigdon, 79, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Augusta University Hospital after a brief illness. She had lived in Portal the past sixteen years moving from Metter. She was of the Freewill Baptist faith, loved gardening, word puzzles, and keeping her yards neat and clean. Inez was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert E. Lee Rigdon, a daughter, Brenda Lee Rigdon, as well as her five brothers and four sisters. Survivors include, her children, Robert D. Rigdon, Wyman and Samantha Rigdon all of Statesboro, Faye and Arthur Miles of Metter, and Teressa R. Gibson of Portal. Six Grandchilren, Six Great Grandchildren and a special friend, Cleveland Johnson also survive.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 25, 2017 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Kennedy Brannen Funeral Home, Metter Chapel.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday, January 26, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Metter Chapel of Kennedy Brannen Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Rosemary Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
