Irma Gardner Kicklighter, 89, passed away peacefully at her daughter's residence on April 22, 2025 under the care of her family and Bethany Hospice. With a heart full of love, she dedicated her life to her family and the many roles she cherished as a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.
Irma was born on September 14, 1935, in Townsend, Georgia to Samuel and Mattie McIntosh Gardner and lived in the same house in the country side of Glennville since she was 16 years old.
Irma's career spanned several industries; she began her working life in a textile factory, later dedicating many years to the Mascot Pecan Company. She became a manager at the Family Dollar, where you could always find excellent customer service and a warm smile.
Throughout her life, Irma was deeply devoted to her family, which she considered her proudest accomplishment. Rearing in a large family herself, she understood the importance of relationships and nurtured the bonds with those she loved. Her warm spirit and kindness were evident in every interaction, her family was as big as her heart.
Irma was a vibrant individual who enjoyed a variety of hobbies and activities. Her love for crafts and sewing allowed her to create beautiful pieces that her family will cherish forever. She found joy in fishing, traveling, and taking girls trips, always seeking new adventures and experiences with her loved ones.
She is remembered fondly for her loving personality and the warmth she brought into the lives of those around her. Irma's legacy will continue to thrive through the cherished memories of her family and friends.
Irma was a member of Watermelon Creek Baptist Church and is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 58 years, G.W. Kicklighter, a son, Michael Kicklighter, a daughter, Pamela Jenkins and numerous siblings.

Twelve grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, Monday, April 28, 2025 at Brannen Family Funeral Services. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, on Monday in the chapel of Brannen Family Funeral Services. Burial will follow in the Watermelon Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
