Jacquelyn Shuman

Jacquelyn B. Shuman, 96, passed away Monday, July 13, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her family and under the care of Hospice of South Georgia. Mrs. Shuman was born August 24, 1923 in Glennville, Georgia to John E. “Babe” and Lillian Easterling Brewton and lived in Glennville most of her life. She was a 1940 graduate of Glennville High School and attended Draughn’s Business College in 1941. Mrs. Shuman married Raleigh Shuman in 1942 and worked at Lipsitz’s Department Store for many years before becoming a full time homemaker. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and was a member of Glennville First Baptist Church. Mrs. Shuman is preceded in death by her, parents; husband of 48 years, Raleigh E. Shuman; sister, Mitzi B. Howard; son-in-law, Keith Swindell and grandson, Kyle Waters.

Daughters, Judy Gore (Gene) of Bowling Green, Kentucky
Nan Swindell of Townsend, Georgia
Faye Waters of Townsend, Georgia
Lisa Sikes (Harry) of Pine Harbor, Georgia

Six Grandchildren, Nine Great Grandchildren, several Nieces, Nephews and other relatives also survive.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held 10:00 am, Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at Glennville City Cemetery with Rev. Jim Sutton and Rev. Mike Howard officiating.
