James Alan Dasher, 63, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2026. Born on September 24, 1962, in Claxton, Georgia, to James Arthur and Mildred Grace Kicklighter Dasher, Alan devoted his life to his family.
Alan pursued the art and labor of farming, building a respected career as a poultry farmer. His hands nurtured not only the land but also his family and friends that enjoyed the fruits of his hard work. Alan was also retired from the Georgia National Guard.
Alan was a man of many talents and interests, embodying skills and a nurturing nature that enriched his life and those around him. A proud Mason with Rising Sun Lodge #32, and a member of the Tattnall County Shrine Club, he found joy in fellowship and service. His hobbies reflected his diverse abilities and passions: he loved to fish, restore his Camaro with meticulous care, engage with friends and family on Facebook, and hone his skills in carpentry, mechanics, and gardening.
Alan was known for his generous nature, often sharing his crops and bounty with family and friends, a testament to his love and care for those close to him. Among his proudest accomplishments was his family, whom he cherished deeply. Alan is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Gene "Bucky" Driggers and a sister, Jo Ellen Veal.

Amy Miller (James) of San Diego, California
Amber Maulden (Darrell) of Ludowici, Georgia
Sister, Jan Bradley of Glennville, Georgia
Brother-in-law, Harold Veal of Rincon, Georgia
Grandchildren, Abigail Maire, Noah Fulton, Charlie & Beau Maulden
Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 9:30 am, Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Brannen Family Funeral Services. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at the chapel of Brannen Family Funeral Services. Burial will follow at Glennville Memorial Gardens.
