James Folsom

James Harold Folsom, 86, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Center in Statesboro. He was born September 11, 1932 to James Oren and Essel Nobles Folsom and lived here all of his life. Harold was a poultry farmer, a farmer and a logger for many years. He loved to fish, garden, spend time with his family and be in the woods. Harold was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a member of Ebenezer Freewill Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Hannah Purvis Folsom; daughter, Jan Folsom and siblings, Madera Moody, Mildred Long and Gene Folsom.

He is survived by:

Children, Bobby Folsom (Pandy)
Jay Folsom (Angela)
Jill F. Dubberly (Daniel)
Joe Folsom (Teresa) all of Glennville

Sister, Shirley Cason of Ludowici


Fifteen Grandchildren, Fifteen Great Grandchildren, Several Nieces, Nephews, Special Caregivers, Robin Stanfield and Harry Conner also survive.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm, Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm, Friday, January 18, 2019 at the chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Ebenezer Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.
