James Jenkins

December 11, 1947 — May 6, 2019

James Michael "Mike" Jenkins, 71, passed away Monday, May 6, 2019 at Oxley Park Health and Rehab. He was born December 11, 1947 to E.K. and Betty (Baker) Jenkins and lived here all of his life. He was a 1965 graduate of Glennville High School and attended Abraham Baldwin Agriculture College before being drafted into the Army during the Vietnam era. He owned and operated M.J. Logging and was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed watching Nascar racing, water skiing, and being with his children and grandchildren. He was a member of Glennville United Methodist Church and is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Eric Jenkins.

Aunt and Uncle, Jo and Bo Jenkins of Thomson, GA
Grandchildren, Lexi Dasher, Michael Stanfield, Kristin DeLoach, Cal DeLoach, Two Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm, Wednesday May 8, 2019 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 12:00 pm, Thursday, May 9, 2019 at the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Morrow officiating. Burial will be at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery with military honors.

Pallbearers: Kerry Dasher, Heath Dasher, John DeLoach, John Baxter, Tommy Hilliard, Joe Folsom, Bobby Folsom.
