James Calvin Teague, 79, passed away on April 6, 2024, at Augusta University Medical Center. He was born on June 17, 1944, in Pendleton, South Carolina to James Edward and Gladys Taylor Teigue.

Calvin led a remarkable life filled with dedication and service. He graduated from Cramerton High School and went on to honorably serve his country in the United States Army and Department of Defense for 34 years, achieving the rank of CW3 before his retirement. His commitment and sacrifices during his military service were among his proudest accomplishments.

Calvin loved his country and his family and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was also a member of Cornerstone Bible Church, where he found comfort and community. His faith was a guiding force in his life. In his leisure time, Calvin enjoyed simple pleasures such as reading, cheering on Clemson football, and watching Braves baseball games. 

Calvin is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Alvin Teigue and sisters Willie Mae Byers and Ann Veirs. 

Calvin will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Annie Elizabeth Teague; Sons, James Calvin Teague, Jr. and Samuel Allen Teague; Daughters, Mary Elizabeth Bonner and Annie Christina Otto; Brother, Melvin Lee Teigue; Sister, Betty Thomas; Grandchildren, Brittany Marie Teague, Jeffery Kopp, Kristi Yancey, Matthew Teague, Anthony James Catanzariti, Donald James Bonner, Elizabeth Schroeder, Catherine May Teague, Samantha Denise Teague, Jacob Manley Bonner; Nine Great Grandchildren and Several Nieces and Nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at 12:00 noon, Friday, April 12, 2024, at Cornerstone Bible Church with Reverend Winston Beasley officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery with full Military Honors. 

In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to: Tunnels to Towers, St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Alee Shriners Hospital.
