Janet Putnam

Janet Sheffield Putnam, 74, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah. She was born August 4, 1946 to Ray and Althea Tootle Sheffield and lived in Glennville most of her life.  She was a 1964 graduate of Glennville High School and retired from the Georgia Department of Corrections as a Correctional Officer. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed reading, solving crossword puzzles, cross stiching and watching the Atlanta Braves. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by:

Son, David Sheffield of Washington, DC

Brother, Jerome Sheffield (Elizabeth) of Glennville, GA

Grandchildren, Ashley Putnam and Matthew Putnam both of Glennville, GA

Great Grandchildren, Bailey Putnam of Glennville, GA and
Mattox Putnam of Claxton, GA

Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm, Sunday, December 20, 2020 at Glennville City Cemetery.
