Jesse Durrence

Jesse Houston "Mutt" Durrence, 83, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Memorial Health University Medical Center. He was born March 27, 1934 to Earnest Alan Durrence Sr. and Ora Martin Durrence and lived in Glennville all of his life. He was a graduate of Glennville High School and attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and retired from Savannah Morning News after forty six years of service. He was an avid farmer who was known for his sugar cane and vegetables. He was a member of Cornerstone Bible Church and preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Evelyn Waters, E.A. Durrence, Ed Durrence, Mary Nell Zettler, and Bill Durrence.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm, Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Cornerstone Bible Church. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery.
