Joan Tatum

September 5, 1933 — May 5, 2020

Joan Bradley Tatum, 86, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at Community Hospice Inpatient Center in Vidalia. Joan Tatum was a very caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She will be well remembered for the many years that she cooked for the whole family every Thursday night; not only for her family but for any friend that happened to be around.  One of the joys of her life was to serve her family.  Her grand children and great-grandchildren brought much pleasure to her.

She was an avid gardener and loved her flower gardens.  Each year she would promise not to plant so many but when the spring came, she could not resist.  She enjoyed reading and was always ready to travel when the opportunity presented itself.  She enjoyed many trips with Tattnall Travelers and family.

She was a charter member of Pineview Baptist Church and cherished the relationships made over the years. She certainly exemplified all the traits of the Proverbs 31 Virtuous Woman and will also be remembered for her faith, strength and endurance while maintaining a sweet, humble spirit.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Lorine Bradley; her husband of 67 years, Willie Joe Tatum; her sister, Rubye Jean Bland and her brother, Franklin Bradley.

She is survived by:

Sons, Wayne Tatum (Pat)
James Tatum (Sharon)
Dale Tatum (Debbie) all of Glennville, Georgia

Brother, Jack Bradley (Margie) of Snow Camp, North Carolina

Grandchildren, Brad Tatum (Christy), Nick Tatum (Stacey),
Bryant Tatum (Suzanne)

Great Grandchildren, Zach Tatum (Caroline), Brittany Tatum, Landry Tatum,
