John William McGillis, Sr

John William McGillis, Sr., 74, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2025, at his residence under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. Born on November 16, 1950, in East Towas, Michigan to Alfred and Edna Fay Barber McGillis, John lived in Glennville most of his adult life.

He spent his leisurely time fishing, playing cards, and enjoying television, all of which brought him immense joy and fulfillment.

John loved his family and was of the protestant faith.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

John is survived by:

Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

A Graveside Service will be held in his honor at 11:00 am, Thursday, March 27, 2025, at Glennville City Cemetery.
